In our study of Galatians 2:1-14 today, we examine Paul’s visit to Jerusalem. He encountered all the apostles, particularly Peter, James, and John, and they affirmed his teaching and preaching of the Gospel of grace to the Gentiles, which didn’t necessitate circumcision or adherence to the law as a basis for justification. This council’s affirmation of freedom from the law through grace will be a recurring point in the subsequent chapters of Galatians.
